BOSTON -- Today will feature a mix of sun and clouds overall....there will be a tendency for increasing clouds from the west later in the day. Temperatures will be a bit above 70 at the beaches with a light sea breeze, and a bit below 80 away from the coast.

It will be warmer (80 or a bit above in most areas) and more humid Saturday with a mix of sun and clouds as a front approaches from the west. There will be a few thunderstorms in the area late day/evening as the front crosses our area.

Sunday and Labor Day will both be gorgeous with plenty of sunshine and pleasantly warm conditions as humidity lowers. Each day should see hight temperatures around or a bit above 80.

Meanwhile, Gustav has been hitting Jamaica directly and now has its sights set on The Cayman Islands later today and tonight as it intensifies. The western tip of Cuba could take close to a direct hit by Saturday or Saturday Night, and, by then Gustav may be a major hurricane. Next would be The Gulf of Mexico and by Monday Night, Gustav could be very near The Gulf Coast. It could make a direct hit anywhere from The Texas Coast to The Louisiana or Mississippi Coast or even The Florida Panhandle along about Monday Night. New Orleans may be in its path, but, we'll have to wait a bit longer to get an idea as to whether Gustav will pass very close to New Orleans or not.

Hannah is also intensifying and will stall by the end of the weekend and very early next week somewhere between Bermuda and The Bahamas, but not close to either. By the middle portion of next week, Hannah may head toward The Bahamas, and will have to be watched closely after that to see if it may hit any portion of the U.S.
