DENVER -- Denver is a lonely place for a Republican this week, but that didn't stop Mitt Romney from making the trip.
Romney Mum On GOP VeepstakesRomney, rumored to be on Republican presidential nominee Sen. John McCain's "short-list" of possible running mates, was mum on the vice presidential issue."Nothing on the (vice presidential) front for you guys," Romney said.The former Massachusetts governor did pause for moment when asked about the Democratic National Convention so far."I was very moved by Sen. (Edward) Kennedy and by his effort to come here, and by his remarks. It was a powerful thing to do and a class act. He's quite a guy," Romney said.When asked why he was in Denver, Romney said to make sure "they talk about the issues, and not just celebrity."
