Rivet, Kaleta Out But Kotalik Returns For Sabres

POSTED: 6:56 pm EST December 1, 2008

(Sports Network) - The Buffalo Sabres will miss a pair of players but also will get one back for Monday's home game against Nashville.

Defenseman Craig Rivet was a late scratch due to an undisclosed upper body injury while forward Patrick Kaleta was previously ruled out due to an injury suffered Saturday against Montreal.

Forward Ales Kotalik will make his return to the lineup after missing seven games with a hamstring injury.

The 29-year-old had been out of action since November 14, when he unsuccessfully tried to hurdle over a Columbus player and hurt his hamstring.

Prior to the setback, the Czech native posted five goals and 10 points in 16 games.
