A 26-year-old Stow, Mass., man has been indicted in connection with the stabbing death of a Framingham man in late June, the Middlesex District Attorney's office said.

Kevin J. Porter, 26, of Stow, was indicted Thursday on charges of first degree murder, assault and battery with a deadly weapon causing serious bodily injury, and assault and battery, according to the district attorney's office.

According to authorities, at approximately 11:54 a.m. on June 24, Framingham police went to 38 Gordon St. after getting reports of an alleged stabbing.

When officers arrived, they found the victim, Jeffrey Weaver, suffering from stab wounds.

Weaver was taken to Metro West Medical Center and pronounced dead.
