Peter Mehegan is used to scenic drives. He’s seen his share from the wheel of the Old Chevy as he travels around Maine. But tonight he leaves New England to get a taste of spring, southern style, as he cruises Virginia’s famous Skyline Drive along the crest of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Shenandoah National Park. He drops into Stony Man Camp, hears otherworldly sounds in an underground cavern, and finds a place where Jurassic Park meets the Civil War. Plus, Peter takes a side trip to the house that Jefferson built: Monticello.
